Detroit Harvest Fest & Food Truck Rally Returns

Get ready for a spectacular fall celebration! The Detroit Riverfront is hosting the Detroit Harvest Fest & Food Truck Rally on Saturday, October 5th, and Sunday, October 6th. The event runs from 11 AM to 8 PM along the scenic Dequindre Cut Greenway. It’s the perfect way to embrace the autumn season with friends and family.

Detroit Harvest Fest is back and better than ever. This year, expect even more food trucks, live music, and activities for all ages. Over 60 food trucks will serve up a variety of delicious treats. From savory bites like 8 Claw Crab Boil and Truckin Waffles to sweet delights from Mercurio Foods, there’s something for every palate.

Live music will fill the air throughout the Dequindre Cut. Enjoy performances from local bands and artists as you stroll through the festival. The vibrant sounds add to the lively atmosphere, making it a memorable weekend for everyone.

Kids and Family-Friendly Events

Bring the kids for a day of trick or treating from 11 AM to 4 PM. They can explore the free pumpkin patch and enjoy a variety of fun activities. The Kid Zone, sponsored by Priority Health, is a highlight this year. Children can jump in inflatable bounce houses, get their faces painted, and watch exciting acts on the Priority Health Kids Stage.

The Michigan Science Center will also be there, offering spooky science demonstrations that are both educational and entertaining. Plus, glitter tattoos are available for those who want a bit of sparkle.

For the young at heart, there’s a hip-hop and breakdancing dance party hosted by the Motor City Street Dance Academy. Show off your moves or just enjoy the lively performances.

There’s a Dog and Cat Howl-o-ween Costume Contest where pets can strut their stuff in creative costumes. It’s a fun way to include your four-legged family members in the festivities.

Families can also enjoy hands-on activities in the Kids Tent. From arts and crafts to outdoor adventures with the DNR Outdoor Adventure Center, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained. The inflatable zone features an obstacle course, soccer shootout, archery, and mini LED Putt Putt, ensuring endless fun for kids of all ages.

The Dequindre Cut Greenway is the perfect backdrop for the festival. Stretching from Wilkins to Woodbridge, the greenway offers a beautiful setting for a day out. Take a self-paced walk, enjoy the fall colors, and soak in the vibrant energy of Detroit’s community.

One of the standout features is the creation of a live mural. Watch talented artists create stunning murals in real time and even join in the fun with guest participation. It’s a unique way to experience Detroit’s rich artistic culture.

New This Year: Beer Garden for Adults

This year, adults can enjoy a new addition—a beer garden located in the Garage courtyard. Relax with your favorite beverage while taking in the autumn ambiance. It’s the perfect spot to unwind after a day of activities and enjoy some quality time with friends.

Detroit Harvest Fest; Admission and Parking

Admission to the Harvest Fest is affordable. Tickets are $5 per person when purchased in advance by October 1st and $8 at the door. Children under 3 get in free, making it a budget-friendly outing for families.

The shuttle picks up at Atwater and Rivard Street and drops off at the Woodbridge, Lafayette, Gratiot, and Wilkins entrances to the Dequindre Cut.
